 Determining Doneness

 3 Easy Steps

• 4 - 14 ounce New York Strip Steaks
• 16 ounces of Walter's Marinade

This is the recipe that served our business since 1981. We still cook our steaks at home the same way. We have had friends get up from across the room and walk over just to say "That is the best steak I have ever eaten."

Walter's "Almost Famous" Marinade & Sauce may be used on just about any cut of beef, but we prefer a good cut of New York Strip with the fat trimmed off.

Always shake the marinade well before using.
Once you have your steaks, in a shallow container, pour in about 10 ounces of Walter's "Almost Famous" Marinade to cover half the thickness of the steaks.

Cover, Refrigerate and turn a couple of couple of times.
Your steaks should marinate for at least 2 hours, but no more than 24.

We suggest outdoor grilling for perfect steaks but an indoor grill may also be used. Grill slowly, high above the flame to your liking. You may re-dip the steak in the used marinade throughout the cooking process but do not use it before serving. Pour one ounce in a small cup or pour fresh marinade directly onto your steak.
